Safe Nest is arranged under a group insurance policy taken by Yu Home and underwritten by Chubb Insurance Singapore Limited. Your enrolment is also subject to you meeting the eligibility requirements of the Safe Nest group policy.

What is Safe Nest?
Safe Nest is a complimentary home insurance product, underwritten by Chubb Insurance Singapore Limited, offered under a group policy. Please note that your enrolment and coverage under Safe Nest is subject to the group policy eligibility requirements.
A minimum spend on eligible products is required for you to enrol for Safe Nest coverage*.
- Safe Nest Classic Plan: Complimentary with eligible purchases of S$600 and above
- Safe Nest Premium Plan: Complimentary with eligible purchases of S$1,000 and above
*The minimum spend is calculated based on the final amount paid for eligible Yu Home appliances only.
Which Yu Home products qualify for the minimum spend requirements for enrolment under the complimentary Yu Home group policy?
Eligible products include:
- Automated Laundry Systems (YU PRIME, YU FLEX, YU ACE, YU AIRMAX, YU NIQUE, YU TURBO, SMARTLUX LITE, SMARTLUX PRO)
- Essential Water Purifier
Items not eligible include:
- Partner or third-party products (e.g. Line8 Power Track, EAZEA Vacuum)
- Accessories, installation, service or labour fees
- Delivery or transport charges
- Vouchers, discounts, rebate offsets, or promotional gifts
- Any product not listed above
Who is eligible to enrol for Safe Nest?
To be eligible, you must be
- a Singapore Resident^;
- at least eighteen (18) years old; and
- a Yu Home customer who has has spent S$600 and above on eligible products to enrol for complimentary Safe Nest Classic plan, or S$1,000 and above to enrol for complimentary Safe Nest Premium plan.
^Singapore Resident means a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident or a valid Work Permit Holder or holder of a valid Employment Pass, Dependant’s Pass, Long-Term Visit Pass, S Pass or Student Pass issued by the authorities in Singapore.
Please note that your enrolment is also subject to you meeting the eligibility requirements of the Safe Nest group policy.
Does coverage under Safe Nest replace my coverage under my existing fire mortgage insurance?
No, the coverage under Safe Nest is not intended to replace your existing fire mortgage insurance.
What home contents and/or renovations coverage does Safe Nest offer?
The policy provides coverage for loss of or damage to contents or renovations that you or your household members own, or are legally responsible for, within the insured home.
Coverage applies when the loss or damage is caused by any of the defined events during the coverage period.
What type of defined events are covered for my home contents and/or renovation?
The policy provides cover against the following events:
- Fire, lightning or explosion
- Storm, hurricane, cyclone, typhoon, flood
- Bursting, leaking, discharging, or overflowing pipes
- Earthquake
- Impact
- Riot or civil commotion
- Acts of malicious damage or vandalism
- Theft, attempted theft or burglary
What is covered under Alternative Accommodation / Loss of Rent?
In the event your insured home becomes uninhabitable due to a defined event, Safe Nest will provide cover for:
- The additional cost of reasonable temporary alternative accommodation
- The cost of furniture storage
- The cost of rent payable to your landlord (up to the sum insured)
What is covered under Accidental Breakage of Mirrors & Glass?
Coverage includes accidental breakage of:
- Fixed mirrors
- Fixed glass
- Glass that forms part of an item of furniture, including both fixed and unfixed glass table tops
What are the major exclusions under Safe Nest?
The loss or damage to the property that arises out of the following is excluded from coverage under Safe Nest:
- wear and tear
- mechanical, electrical or electronic breakdown including power surge except when caused by a defined event;
- mildew and atmospheric or climatic conditions other than by rain, sleet and hail;
- domestic animals;
- vermin, insects or by the pecking, clawing, chewing, eating or nesting by birds and other wildlife;
- any process of cleaning, repairing, restoring or retouching of any item;
- any process involving the application of heat or the use of chemicals;
- tenants, roomers, boarders or paying guests and their visitors arising from or due to larceny, theft, malicious damage or vandalism or deliberate or intentional acts;
- settlement, shrinkage, vibration or expansion in buildings, foundations, walls or pavements;
- faulty workmanship, inherent defect, errors or omissions in design, structural defects and faulty design;
- water seeping or otherwise percolating through a wall, floor or roof;
- the roots of trees, shrubs, plants and grass;
- erosion;
- mould, fungi, fungus, wet or dry rot or bacteria.
How long is the coverage under Safe Nest?
Subject to the group policy terms and conditions, Safe Nest covers your insured home for 12 months from the date of enrolment. Please note that the enrolment date may differ from your Yu Home product delivery date.
How do I know if my enrolment for Safe Nest is successful?
Upon confirmation of your enrolment for Safe Nest, you will receive an email from Chubb Insurance Singapore Limited containing details of your coverage under Safe Nest.
What should I do if there’s a change in my residential address?
Please contact Chubb’s Customer Service Representatives via WhatsApp at 6562990988 to provide your updated address.
How do I make a claim?

How to apply for Safe Nest
To be eligible for cover under the complimentary group policy, fill in the form below after you have completed your Yu Home products purchase. Please note that:
- To be eligibile for complimentary enrolment into Safe Nest, you need to spend a minimum of S$600 on eligbile Yu Home products.
- To be eligible for coverage under the complimentary Safe Nest group policy, you must be a Singapore Resident aged 18 years and above.
Singapore Resident means a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident or a valid Work Permit Holder or holder of a valid Employment Pass, Dependant’s Pass, Long-Term Visit Pass, S Pass or Student Pass issued by the authorities in Singapore. - Each purchase entitles you to an enrolment of one (1) individual policy only.
- You can only be covered under one (1) Safe Nest policy underwritten by Chubb.
- Your application will be processed within fourteen (14) working days.
- Upon confirmation of your enrolment, you will receive an email from Chubb Insurance with your policy details.
