General (ALS)
Can YU HOME remove my existing laundry rack? Is there an additional charge?
Yes. We provide removal of your existing laundry rack as a complimentary value-added service at no additional charge. Any holes left after removal will be patched with white cement. Painting over the patched areas is not included.
Does the system require a power point? What type of power supply is required?
Yes. Our automated laundry systems require an electrical connection. You may use either:
- Dedicated light point (6 Amp, 0.75mm² cable)
- Standard power socket (220V / 10 Amp)
Does the LED help in drying?
All systems are integrated with the LED light for illuminating purposes so that you get to enjoy all the benefits in one. Save even more without having to purchase any additional ceiling light.
Can the machine be pushed out of the window?
No, this is an indoor system. It is designed to be more efficient than a conventional manual system. From increased safety to more load capacity, you can dry more clothes without the hassle of lifting heavy laundry. The systems are also designed to encourage air ventilation for your laundry to dry faster.
Most customers prefer to have their laundry dried under the sun. However, various factors like unpredictable weather, the direction of your house for sunlight, and the time you choose to dry laundry may not always be on your side. With our Automated Laundry System Pro, you can come home to sun-dried laundry anytime, any day.
Can the system be installed outdoors?
Yes, as long as the installation area is well sheltered and protected from direct rain and harsh weather.
Do our Automated Laundry Systems consume a lot of electricity when it is used?
No, the heavy lifting function is only rated 0.00001 kWh which is less than 10 cents of electricity per month. The Solar Heat-Air Drying function consumes only $0.24 an hour, and it is at least 9 times more energy efficient than conventional dryers.

How low can the system be lowered?
Our systems can be lowered to 130cm from the ceiling. Contact us for a free on-site assessment and our Site Survey Expert can better recommend you a system that would fit your space and needs.
What is the minimum space requirement for installation?
Length 150 cm x Width 70 cm
Do the systems come with auto-stop safety feature?
- Dual UV lights: 30 mins
- Solar heat air frying function: 2 hours
- Wind air drying function: 2 hours
- Negative Ionizer: 2 hours
What is the loading capacity of the systems?
- Yu Prime / Yu Ace: 35 kg heavy-duty loading capacity

Are the poles extendable?
Yes, the poles are extendable to a maximum length of 230 cm.
Do I need to register my warranty after purchase?
No. Your warranty is automatically activated once your Automated Laundry System has been installed.
All YU HOME Automated Laundry Systems include complimentary 2-year YUcare (On-Site Warranty Coverage). If you'd like extended protection, you can purchase Extended YUcare for additional warranty coverage.

Can the system be installed in a small space?
Yes. Our automated laundry systems require a minimum installation space of 145cm (L) x 75cm (W). For smaller or unique spaces, we recommend our YU ONE Modular System, which can be customised to fit your available space.
Does the price include installation?
Yes. All listed prices include standard installation for concrete ceilings below 2.8m with a nearby power source. For false ceilings or ceiling heights above 2.8m, an additional installation surcharge of $160 will apply.

Can the system be installed on a high ceiling?
Yes. Our systems can be installed on high ceilings. A surcharge of $160 applies for ceilings above 2.8m.
Is the system rust-resistant?
Yes. Our automated laundry systems are made from aluminum alloy, making them durable and rust-resistant.
What is the maximum load capacity?
The maximum load capacity depends on the model, ranging from 40kg to 50kg.
How long does the drying function take?
The drying function operates for up to 3 hours and will automatically switch off afterwards. Drying time may vary depending on the fabric type, laundry load, weather, and air circulation.
What is the purpose of the UV function?
The UV function helps reduce germs and bacteria on your laundry, providing cleaner and more hygienic clothes.
Where can the system be installed?
Our automated laundry systems are designed for indoor installation and require sufficient installation space.
How long does the installation take?
Installation typically takes around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the installation conditions.
Will the installation create a lot of dust?
No. Installation only involves minimal drilling. Our installers use dust covers to minimize dust and keep the area clean.
Is YU HOME a China-based company?
No. YU HOME is a Singapore local brand that incorporates German technology. Our automated laundry systems are fully assembled in Singapore.
Does YU HOME provide reinforcement work if required?
No. If reinforcement is required, customers will need to engage their own contractor before installation.
Do I need to prepare anything before installation?
Yes. Before installation, please ensure the installation area is accessible and that the ceiling or wall type is suitable for mounting.
- Concrete ceiling/wall: Standard installation is included at no additional cost.
- False ceiling support installation: An additional SGD160 installation fee applies, as extra support is required to ensure safe and secure installation.
- High ceilings (above 2.8m) or special ceiling structures: Reinforcement or additional support work may be required. This must be arranged by the homeowner before installation, as it is not provided by YU HOME.
Our technician will assess the installation site before proceeding and advise you if any additional work or charges are required.
Can it be relocated if I move house?
Yes. If you're moving to a new home, YU HOME provides a relocation service that includes dismantling your existing system and reinstalling it at your new residence.
- Concrete ceiling installation: Relocation service is available from SGD240, which includes dismantling and reinstallation.
- If reinforcement is required at the new location: Any necessary reinforcement or structural support work must be arranged by the homeowner prior to installation, as this service is not provided by YU HOME.
Our technician will assess the new installation site and advise if any additional work or charges are required.
Is it suitable for heavy items like blankets and beddings?
Yes. Most YU HOME Automated Laundry System models feature a dedicated Blanket Zone, making them suitable for drying bulky items such as blankets, quilts, comforters, and bedding. Always follow the recommended load capacity for your selected model.
Can I control the system using my smartphone?
Yes. Selected models come with App Control, allowing you to operate the system using your smartphone.
Is there a manual control if I don't want to use the app?
Yes. All models come with a remote control, while selected models also support App Control.
What happens if there is a power outage?
The system will stop operating temporarily. Once the power is restored, it can be used as normal.
Can I view the products before purchasing?
Yes. You are welcome to visit our YU HOME Experience Store to view and experience our products.
Do you provide after-sales support?
Yes. Our Customer Service team is always ready to assist you after installation if you require any support.
Can I use the drying function every day?
Yes. The drying function is designed for daily use and is especially useful during rainy weather.
Is the system safe for families with children?
Yes. Selected models come with obstacle detection, which enhances safety during operation.
What if my home has a false ceiling?
No worries. Our systems can be installed on false ceilings using the appropriate installation method. An additional surcharge may apply.
Can I customise the size of the laundry system?
Most models come in fixed dimensions. For customised sizing, we recommend our YU ONE Modular System.
Water Purifier
Why is our hot water only maximum at 87 degrees celsius, not 100 degrees celsius?
The reason is that when water reaches 100 °C, it reaches the boiling point, which means water will become steam as well, making it unsafe since it is prone to scalding. When steam is formed in the piping, the water flow becomes unstable and may lead to splash-back when dispensing. Therefore, 87°C is a much safer setting.
If I am on holiday and away from home, should I turn off the electricity?
There is no need to turn off the electricity if you prefer not to. YU HOME Essential Water Purifier will go into standby mode when not in use. The electricity consumed during this mode is insignificant, at around $0.8/month. We suggest that you dispense out all the water in tanks after a long holiday and let it refill with fresh water before you start to consume the water.

What's the electrical consumption of the YU HOME Essential Water Purifier?
YU HOME Water Purifier is a smart device designed to be energy-friendly. It will go into standby mode when not in use. The electricity consumed during this mode is insignificant, at around $0.8/month.
The power needed for the hot water function is actually less than the power used to boil water with a kettle. The power required for using the chilled water function is equivalent to when you are using a ceiling fan.
Here are some sample figures:
- Heating: 2600 Watt, equivalent to a steam iron or electric stove
- Cooling: 0.3 Ampere or 70 Watt, equivalent to a ceiling fan
What is the material of the filter bottles?
The filter bottles are made of polypropylene that is completely safe for water filtration.
What’s the material of the outer casing?
It’s ABS plastic. It is a safe and harmless plastic with no toxic carcinogens. No negative health effects are related to exposure to it.
What are the features of the YU HOME Essential Water Purifier?
- 5 temperature range settings: 4-5, 14-15, 24-25, and 78-87°C
- 4-stage filtration system: removes suspended solids, chlorine, pathogenic bacteria, and bad odors, providing healthy and fresh water without metal and rusty taste

What does the YU HOME Essential Water Purifier filter out?
The YU HOME Essential Water Purifier is equipped with 3 filters and a 4-stage filtration process:
- Pre carbon block sediment filter: filters out suspended solids such as dust, rust, and sand. It also removes organic compounds such as chlorine and lead.
- UF and post carbon block filter: filters out ultra small micropores up to 0.01 microns, removing harmful contaminants and pathogenic bacteria.
Is there an Alkaline Function?
Our filters do not have alkaline function as we prefer our water to be pure and of neutral pH. Our pH level is the same as normal drinking water as we are unsure of the long term effects of drinking too much alkaline. Upon research, we didn't find any studies that prove the benefits of alkaline water. Our main purpose is to filter the water to make sure it is clean from bacteria and chemicals.
Do I need to top up water?
YU HOME Water Purifier draws water directly from your water supply. It means there is no need for you to top up any water. Neither is there any need to wash and maintain a tank. This makes it extremely convenient and hygienic for all users.

What is the tallest height that I can fit under the nozzle?
The tallest height that fits below the nozzle is 22cm if the bottle is upright. You can go up to 24cm if you remove the tray. If you place it at an angle, you can use even taller bottles.

Laundry Detergent Sheet
How many detergent sheets should I use per wash?
For a regular load of 5–7kg, 1 detergent sheet is sufficient. For larger or heavily soiled loads, we recommend using 2 detergent sheets.
Can I use it for both front-load and top-load washing machines?
Yes. YU HOME Laundry Detergent Sheets are suitable for both front-load and top-load washing machines.
Can it be used for hand washing?
Yes. For hand washing, simply use half a detergent sheet and dissolve it in water before washing.
Does it dissolve completely?
Yes. YU HOME Eco Laundry Detergent Sheets dissolve quickly in both cold and hot water, providing a powerful, residue-free clean without the mess of traditional liquid or powder detergents.
Does it work in cold water?
Yes. The detergent sheets are designed to dissolve quickly and clean effectively in both cold and hot water.
Is it effective on stubborn stains?
Yes. YU HOME Laundry Detergent Sheets are formulated to tackle everyday dirt, grease, and common stains while being gentle on fabrics. For heavily soiled items or stubborn stains, we recommend using 2 detergent sheets or pre-treating the stained area before washing for the best results.
Is it suitable for baby clothes?
Yes. YU HOME Eco Laundry Detergent Sheets are safe for all fabrics, including everyday wear, delicates, and baby clothes.
Is it safe for sensitive skin?
Yes. The detergent sheets are hypoallergenic and are free from dyes, parabens, and phosphates, making them gentle on skin.
How should I store the detergent sheets?
Store the detergent sheets in a cool, dry place and keep them away from moisture to maintain their quality.
What ingredients are used in the detergent sheets?
YU HOME Laundry Detergent Sheets are made with carefully selected ingredients, including: Coconut Oil Alcohol; Natural Vegetable Oil; Coconut Oil Extract; Deionized Water; Fragrance (Lavender).
