What is the difference between Basic and Pro?

I have an existing manual system, can you help us dismantle it?

Yes, we provide dismantling at no additional cost when you purchase any system from us. As a gesture of goodwill, we will also patch up the holes in the ceiling left by the previous laundry rack free of charge. However, we do not provide any painting services.

Does the LED help in drying?

All systems are integrated with the LED light for illuminating purposes so that you get to enjoy all the benefits in one. Save even more without having to purchase any additional ceiling light!

Can the machine be pushed out of the window?

No, this is an indoor system. It’s designed to be more efficient than a conventional manual system. From increased safety to more load capacity, you can dry more clothes without the hassle of lifting heavy laundry. The systems are also designed to encourage air ventilation for your laundry to dry faster.

Most customers prefer to have their laundry dried under the Sun. However, various factors like unpredictable weather, the direction of your house for sunlight, and the time you choose to dry laundry, may not always be on your side. With our Automated Laundry System Pro, you can come home to sun-dried laundry anytime, any day.

Do our Automated Laundry Systems consume a lot of electricity when it is used?

No, the heavy lifting function is only rated 0.00001 kWh which is less than 10 cents of electricity per month. The Solar Heat-Air Drying function consumes only 0.62 kWh, and it is at least 9 times more energy efficient than conventional dryers!

How low can the system be lowered?

How do I care for the Automated Laundry Systems?

Our systems require zero maintenance and cleaning duties are not necessary. However, if you wish to clean your system, you may do so by lightly vacuum or wipe away any visible dust on the telescopic poles.

How does the Automated Laundry Systems Pro dry clothes?

The inbuilt Solar ceramic heaters and air circulators simulate heat energy from sunlight.

As hot air rises and cold air sinks, heat is distributed uniformly around the clothes without warming up the rest of the room.

Drying performance may speed up in an opened area.

Yes, the rack will automatically stop dropping further and emit a beep sound, if it detects obstacles blocking its pathway. After removing the obstacle, the system will operate as usual. 

What is the function of the dual UV lights?

The dual UV lights help to kill germs and bacteria.

What is the purpose of activating Ionizer?

The Ionizer will be activated whenever the drying function is activated. This is useful to expel musky odours around the clothes.

This also provides relief from airborne allergens such as pollen, bacteria, dust mites, and other invisible odour causing particles.

Do the systems come with auto-turn off feature?

Yes, the Pro enhanced features will turn off automatically after the set time periods below:

Dual UV lights – 30 mins
Solar heat air frying function – 2 hours

Can both Wind-Air and Solar-Heat Drying function be activated at the same time?

No, you can only choose to activate either function at a time.

What is the temperature of the Solar-Heat Drying function?

Solar-Heat temperature is at between 45-50°C

Can both the dual UV lights and drying functions be activated at the same time?

Yes, you can activate the dual UV lights with either the Wind-Air or Solar-Heat Drying function at the same time.

Can I activate the Dual Negative Ions Function manually?

No. Dual Negative Ions Function will be automatically activated when drying function is activated.

Essential Water Purifier

Why is our hot water only maximum at 87 degrees celsius, not 100 degrees celsius?

The reason is that when water reaches 100 °C, it reaches the boiling point, which means water will become steam as well, making it unsafe since it is prone to scalding. When steam is formed in the piping, the water flow becomes unstable and may lead to splash-back when dispensing. Therefore, 87°C is a much safer setting!

If am on holiday and away from home, should I turn off the electricity?

There is no need to turn off the electricity if you prefer not to! YU HOME Essential Water Purifier will go into standby mode when not in use. The electricity consumed during this mode is insignificant, at around $0.8/month. We suggest that you dispense out all the water in tanks after a long holiday and let it refill the fresh water before you start to consume the water.

What's the electrical consumption of the YU HOME Essential Water Purifier?

YU HOME Water Purifier is a smart device designed to be energy-friendly. It will go into standby mode when not in use. The electricity consumed during this mode is insignificant, at around $0.8/month.

The power needed for the hot water function is actually less than the power used to boil water with a kettle. The power required for using the chilled water function is equivalent to when you are using a ceiling fan.

Here are some sample figures:

Heating: 2600 Watt - equivalent to a steam iron, electric stove

Cooling: 0.3 Ampere or 70 Watt, or equivalent to a ceiling fan

What is the material of the filter bottles?

The filter bottles are made of polypropylene that is completely safe for water filtration.

What’s the material of the outer casing?

It’s ABS plastic. It is a safe and harmless plastic with no toxic carcinogens. No negative health effects are related to exposure to it.

What are the features of the YU HOME Essential Water Purifier?

5 Temperatures range settings: 4-5, 14-15, 24-25, and 78-87°C.

4 Stages filtration system: removes suspended solids, chlorine, pathogenic bacteria, and removes bad odors. Providing healthy and fresh water without metal and rusty taste.

Volume: dispenses water as much as you like.

Self-maintenance: electric steriliser module, self-clean the internal water flow path.

What does the YU HOME Essential Water Purifier filter out?

The YU HOME Essential Water Purifier is equipped with 3 filters and 4 stages filtration process:

Pre carbon block sediment filter: filters out suspended solids such as dust, rust, and sand. It also removes organic compounds such as chlorine and lead.

UF and post carbon block filter: filters out ultra small micropores up to 0.01 microns, removing harmful contaminants and pathogenic bacteria

Is there an Alkaline Function?

Our filters do not have alkaline function as we prefer our water to be pure and of neutral pH. Our pH level is the same as normal drinking water as we are unsure of the long term effects of drinking too much alkaline. Upon research, we didn't find any studies that prove the benefits of alkaline water. Our main purpose is to filter the water to make sure it is clean from bacteria and chemicals.

Do I need to top up water?

YU HOME Water Purifier draws water directly from your water supply. It means there is no need for you to top up any water. Neither is there any need to wash and maintain a tank. This makes it extremely convenient and hygienic for all users!

What is the tallest height that I can fit under the nozzle?

The tallest height that fits below the nozzle is 22cm if the bottle is upright. You can go up to 24cm if you remove the tray. If you place it at an angle, you can use even taller bottles.

Delivery

Automated Laundry Systems

What are the delivery fees?

Yes, all prices of our systems include local delivery and warranty (2 years on parts and 2 years on motor).

Installation surcharge may applicable if housing condition does not meet the standard.

What are the delivery time slot?

Our installation slots are available from Monday to Saturday (except Public Holiday) at these time slots:

9am - 11am
11am - 1pm
2pm - 4pm
4pm - 6pm

Please secure your desired slot at least 10 working days in advance.

Delivery will be made within the stipulated slot.

Installation may take about 1.5 – 2 hours (for Automated Laundry Rack Systems) and 1 – 1.5 hours (for Water Purifier), depending on the complexity of work.

What is the requirement for FOC Standard Installation?

The housing type is Concrete Ceiling. Ceiling Height Below 2.8 m. With an existing ceiling light point.

Can it be installed on false ceiling?

Yes, YU HOME’s technical team is trained to provide safe installation on false ceiling. YU HOME uses special technique to add support connecting to the actual concrete slab ceiling, ensuring strong support to the system. Wires are also concealed, resulting in a clean and sleek installation.

Can I install an Automated Laundry Rack System, if my housing type is non-concrete ceiling?

Definitely! YUHOME caters varies type of installation methods.

Can it be installed at balcony?

Yes, our technical team is experienced in installing the systems in the balcony area.

Are there any electrical requirements?

Yes, all YU HOME systems require a minimum of 6 Ampere to function. Simply, get ready a ceiling light point with an On/Off switch will be sufficient. We offer various power source options as well and will recommend the best option that is most compatible to your space.

Do I need to provide any power point for the system?

YU HOME is very energy efficient, the regular lighting point power is sufficient to power the system, so it is not necessary to use a dedicated power point. Contact us for a free on-site assessment, and we can provide the best solution, ensuring safe usage, and aesthetically beautiful installation.

Do I need to provide any power point for the remote controller?

YU HOME’s remote controller is battery operated and does not require any dedicated power point source.

I have not collected my keys. Can I make a purchase first?

Sure, you can make a purchase with an open-ended installation period. Once you have a date in mind, give us a call or whatsapp to 9101 1626 to arrange for installation 10 working days in advance.

What are your installation charges?

Installation is free of charge in Singapore with purchase of any model if your housing condition is concrete ceiling below 2.8m height with a regular lighting point. If you are not sure about the housing condition, please contact us at +65 9101 1626.

YU HOME also provides dismantling and disposal of your existing laundry rack (bamboo holders, push-out system, pulley rack) on the same day of installation, without any charge.

Warranty

Automated Laundry Systems

What does the warranty cover?

The standard complimentary warranty covers 2 years for all parts and 2 years for motor.

In the event if your complimentary warranty expires, YU HOME will charge one time transport and service fee per service call on same problem, for a period of 3 months. From light/heater replacements to machine repairs, you can arrange for an on-site repair visit with a one-time charge and the equipment replacements will be charged.

The warranty applies to YU HOME Automatic Laundry Systems and covers defect(s) in material and/or workmanship under normal installation and use. At the company's discretion, YU HOME shall provide free of charge repair or replacement of the defect within the warranty period. It also covers logistic costs for the servicing.

The average workaround period is estimated to be 2 to 6 working days, subjected to technicians' availability.

The warranty in respect of a repaired product/part will continue to be warranted for the remaining of its warranty period.

What is not covered?

You may not make a claim under this warranty unless the defect claimed is due to faulty, defective parts or workmanship. This warranty does not cover:

Batteries for the remote controller;
Misuse or abuse, including failure to properly maintain or service;
Normal wear and tear;
Power surges, electrical storm damage or incorrect power supply;
Malfunction caused by improper disassembling, modification or repairing by 3rd party;
Incorrect, improper or inappropriate operation;
Insect or vermin infestation;
Accidental damage due to own's negligence;
Exterior damages caused by chemical fumes or sharp objects.

How do I extend my warranty?

You can extend your warranty upon checkout. Simply add to your cart. YU.Care can also be purchased within 2 years from the date of installation.

Do I need to provide proof of warranty when requesting for service?

A copy of your original receipt and physical inspection is required to claim the warranty.

What are the modes of payment?

Are there any installment plans?

Yes! We offer 0% interest instalment plan up to 12 months available with a OCBC credit cards (Master/Visa only). 

Alternatively, 3-month interest-free instalment plan when you shop with ATOME online.

Are prices inclusive of GST?

No GST applicable.

Refunds

What is the refund process?

Refunds and returns must be done within 30 days from the date of delivery. Intentional modification or cosmetic amendments of the system that may impact the refurbishment or usability will void the terms of the system’s return policy.

You may refund/return your order for any of the following reasons:
Systems that are defective/damaged upon arrival, please contact us. 

Here follows the general requirements for returns:
Proof of purchase (invoice order number and payment receipt).
The system must be in its original state and condition, along with all original accessories (e.g. remote control and charging cable) and any free gifts received with it.

Here follows the condition(s) when the system is non-returnable:
Intentional misuse or abuse of the system, including failure to properly maintain or service
Power surges, electrical storm damage or incorrect power supply
Malfunction caused by improper disassembling, modification or repairing by 3rd party
Incorrect, improper or inappropriate operation
Insect or vermin infestation
Accidental damage due to owner's negligence
Exterior damages caused by chemical fumes or sharp objects

Uninstallation and return delivery charges will not be charged. Drill holes left behind by the system after uninstallation will be patched up. However, painting services will not be provided.

One 1-to-1 exchange is allowed per purchase. The exchange system will not be eligible for further exchange or refund unless faulty.

If your refund/return meets the above requirements and should you wish to proceed with the refund/return, please contact our Customer Service Team with your contact details and invoice order number. 

Here follows the refund/return process:
Our Customer Service Team will verify the refund/return reason(s) and arrange an uninstallation and pick-up date for you
We will process your refund or replacement based on the reason(s) highlighted to our Customer Service Team within 10 days from the starting from the day we received your returned system. 
A refund reimbursement will be done through the same mode of payment that was made in the original purchase. For cash payments, an e-banking transfer will be done instead.
